Self-Discovery Trips

As I have mentioned in some of my writings, exploring remote areas of Africa has changed my life in many positive ways. From these explorations I have become more confident, aware, peaceful, and have experienced a high level of personal satisfaction. I believe that in our current urban way of life that we have gotten so busy and dependent on technology; most of us have forgotten or simply lost our ability to explore, get quiet and have Fun.

When one looks at the sheer size of Africa you may ask how would I know where to go? It does get confusing as there are so many choices.

I have narrowed it down to these destinations that are exciting, beautiful and most of all facilitate the ultimate self-awareness experience.

Tanzania

Most folks are familiar with Tanzania as it hosts the world’s largest animal migration in all of Africa. It is also one of theEast African Countries that is home to the Masai People. Again most of us are probably familiar with the Masai as there have been several documentary films about the tribe.

Our journey will be five to nine days, depending upon the travellers. I will co-lead our trip along with three to five Masai friends of mine. We will join the guys travelling on foot doing a walk about as they do. Our route will vary and be dependent upon the season and weather. Anyone with a desire to evolve and explore is welcome to join us! Travelling with the locals without technology will be an enlightening and peaceful experience for all participants.

Sahara Desert

Ah, the Sahara and its magic, one of my personal favourite destinations in all of Africa. Again depending on the group and the season, we will utilize four different areas in the desert

Sahara Regions of Mali including the Salt Mines of Taudenni and the famous town of Timbuktu, 14 days

Camel Trekking in the Niger Sahara, 8 days

Nile River and Desert in Sudan, 9 days

Gilf Plateau and Great Sand Sea, Egypt, 14 days

Wilderness Leadership Walking Trail
